Session 1B: Chasing Cassie

After the group's short rest and avoiding the hidden trap protecting the door the map had brought them to. The group headed inside. Within was a subterrianian chamber. It was mostly bare except for a large cage in the back of the room with something slumped over inside. Near the door hung a ring with a key on it next to an empty picture frame on the wall. A similar picture frame was located near the cage on the side where the door was. A small girl was kneeling with her back to the group facing the cage sobbing.
Upon hearing the group the girl perked up and spoke.
"Thank you so much for rescuing me, but I do have a question. Who is going to rescue you?"
The girl's head twisted about revealing a smooth green face with two large black oval eyes that lacked any pupils. It's black wig teetered and fell off of it's smooth head as it rushed toward the group. Or rather as "they" rushed toward the group as the dress it was wearing split open and two smaller but similar creatures rushed out from underneath.
Not wishing to take any risks, Eralyse smashed the piciture frame near the door and took the key. The group made quick work of the creatures blasting them with fire and ice which prevented them from healing. Once dispatched the group found the cage to be occupied by Cassie Torbus.
She was pale from blood loss and her right arm was expertly bandaged. After Emet-Selch checked her wound and used some healing magic she revived and was able to answer a few questions. She told them that she'd been taken by a female cat person had taken her and that some strange grey man had used a bloodletting knife to collect her blood into a jar of some kind. The man had complained about having to do it instead of "the boss". Some of her information seemed a bit sketchy though since when asked how long she'd been there she said it had been 3 weeks.
The group then sent cassie home along with a note to her parents explaining what they had learned. Hopefully the tabaxxi they captured would have better information.
