Session 3B: Mind Bending Technology and Spies

The group turned their attention upon the old warforged factory. The complex was swarming with 30 or more of the spheres they had encountered earlier. The group made their way into the factory making an effort to avoid detection. They killed several of the orbs and made their way past trapdoors that were filled with spinning saw blades. Upon entering the innermost strcture the staff they'd been given flew into the air and began humming and spinning. This caused a large warforged to stir into action. The group tried to negotiate briefly with the creature but it was not willing to see reason. It saw the staff as something evil that needed to be destroyed. Eralyse extended her senses and found that neither the warforged, the staff nor themselves had an aura of evil about them. The warforged was not swayed with this evidence and attacked the group. The group eventually killed the warforged and the staff began spinning faster before falling like a comet and burying its self into the ground. It then transformed into a tree, doubling in size every second until it became a 300 foot tall redwood. Vines lashed out in every direction from it tearing through stone walls and burrowing into the ground. Then a purple light erupted from the top of the tree and over 20 similar lights rising from the horizion, bending toward the light from the tree. When the beams of light met with the light from the tree they exploded outward into a dome. When this happened the rain abruptly stopped and the sky took on a purple hue.
