Baron/Baroness > Can control a planetary sector
Praetor > Can control a single city
Knight/Dame > Minimum rank for serving in the Imperial Army
Acolyte > Third rank of the empire, minimum rank to serve as a Scholar or Attendant
Yeoman > Second rank in the empire, minimum rank to be allowed into empire controlled cities
Freeholder > lowest rank in the empire, minimum rank of citizenship
