The King in Yellow, Keeper of The Dark, The Lord of Silence (a.k.a. The Quiet One, Old Herma, The Watcher in The Dark)

Hastur, The King in Yellow, is the God of Good or neutral aligned aberrations, Forbidden knowledge, and Secret sanctuaries. Hastur is believed to live in the far realm, but unlike most that come from there, The king in yellow is considered to be a shepherd to the lost and mad. Stories about Hastur vary wildly; in some he is helpful, in others he leads people to insanity.
There are various cults that can be found through out the planes: Most seem to be dedicated to gathering knowledge, and hiding it away within their sanctuaries. On rare occasions, Hastur could be found in these Sanctuaries conversing, meditating, or sharing knowledge; preferring to do the lattermost activity directly rather than with omens. If a situation seemed highly favorable, it was possible he would even appear to negotiate conflicts, or to advise.
