Darkest Night

The Darkonian winter solstice festival and the most solemn day of the year on the Darkonian calendar. You know that Darkest Night is always a new moon, and no stars are ever visible in the sky. Religious services run from dusk until dawn, and no one is permitted to have light, as it could anger the undead and draw their wrath. It isn't unheard of for people to be lynched by a frightened crowd for lighting a candle on Darkest Night, or to be locked outside for the undead to find them.

You aren't sure what the druids' rituals are specifically, but they involve reminding the Mother Tree to care for her living children as well as her undead ones.
