Aphesis
Aphesis was once a mortal resident of Radavain, but no longer. A curse cast from his raw Emotions turned him into something between life and death, an eternal force of pure hatred hellbent on making the entire world suffer for what he perceives as its crimes. His casting abilities have not lessened upon his return, and the tales of the destruction he leaves in his wake is enough to make even the most powerful of Radavain's residents very, very scared. As they struggle to discover what weaknesses he has, if any, Aphesis' thirst for revenge grows.

Personal history
- ████████ is born to the ███████ family, who are known for their legacy of powerful casters. The youngest of five sons, ████████ is looked over often in his early years, but noted as being 'reserved' and 'self-sufficient'.
- Around the age of ten, ████████ begins displaying the early signs of a remarkable potency for Anger. Quickly placed under tutelage by his parents, ████████ slowly starts becoming the favorite of his parents, earning a subtle but burgeoning ire from his siblings.
- At the age of fifteen, ████████ is sent away to the College of Anger, half to nurture his incredible talents, and half to save him from the machinations of his siblings. It doesn't work- an assassin attacks ████████'s caravan and strands him in Grand Oscilla, halfway to his destination.
- Fed up with the political plays and constant manipulation of his family, ████████ sets about creating a new life for himself, happy with letting his siblings believe that he has died. He takes on a new name, Aphesis, and offers up his skills to Grand Oscilla's criminal underground. Most laugh him off, but the Kerrigon crime family buys him in as a bodyguard.
- At the age of twenty, Aphesis has formed a reputation for himself as a potent Anger caster. His skill and intelligence rocket the Kerrigons to the top of Grand Oscilla's black market food chain, and he is given Doni Kerrigon's right hand seat. Aphesis' infamy ends up proceeding him, however, and the College of Anger comes to collect who they see as a rogue student.
- Aphesis is given a choice: come study under the College, or die. He acquiesces to the College's demands, though not without some ire at giving up all that he has worked for.
- On his last night in the city, Aphesis is hired for protection by a beautiful Ariettae woman who introduces herself as Senlinn. The two spend the whole night talking of their problems, and eventually share a bed.
- In the morning, Senlinn promises Aphesis that she won't let the College take him away from her. They form a mercenary group between the two of them, and Senlinn uses her money to buy their way safely out of the city.
- As the two travel, they find others who are trapped by obligations or outside interests, despite their skills and talent. They welcome these people into their 'growing family', and claim a name for themselves as the Hounds of War. They begin to generate genuine interest and start taking on jobs for extra money. They find great success and a decent amount of infamy from these exploits.
- The Hounds take on their final job. Aphesis watches as Senlinn is tortured and killed in front of him. His Emotions are so powerful that they suck the very souls from those around him, using that energy to cast a powerful curse. The resulting strain tears Aphesis' body asunder.
- Aphesis wakes up some time later in an unfamiliar place. All he can feel is the rage and grief that powers his new form... and he begins to formulate his plan...

Social
Speech
Aphesis' voice is a deep and brassy baritone that seems to echo ominously, coming from everywhere around those who hear it. There is a distinct element of a hiss to it as well, like steam escaping a vent. He tends use short, direct sentences, forgoing the usual villainous monologues that others may be prone to; in most cases he will let his Emotions speak for him instead.
