Aasimar

Aasimar, or half-angels, are a unique and rare race in Prima Terra. Their appearance outside of Gwenydd in The Commonwealth has largely been unheard of until recent generations. However, in the last 30 years, new Aasimar have been born around the world with no explanation. Their population numbers less than a hundred, but some have called the arrival of these ‘new’ Aasimar a sign of a coming disaster. Avatar Aasimar The Avatar Aasimar are Aasimar created by the pantheon of the Old Gods. These ‘Avatars’ are created when a divine soul merges with a sickly infant and metamorphoses the child into a part celestial. These Avatars are deeply connected to the God from which they were created, and are usually created for a specific purpose.

Avatar Aasimar

Avatars of this pantheon, through rigorous training and development, are able to recall the details of previous avatar’s lives, being bale to communicate with the spirits of long dead demi-gods and unlock new boons. As of 1052, 3a, there is one known and active avatar, one recently deceased, and one missing somewhere in the world. Queen Rhiannon, queen of the Commonwealth, is the avatar of Morrigan and is 60 years old by this time. Aaron, the avatar of Arawn, was last seen around 50 years ago fighting the Supremacy in Marcia but vanished after the war, nobody knows if he is alive or dead. Finally, Tiernan, avatar of the Daghda, was slain in the Astral Sea by an Alhoon but a few months into the year alongside his battle companions.

New Aasimar

Around thirty years ago, strange children were born across the world. This has been happening semi-regularly since, which has seen the birth of Aasimar with no connection to the old gods. Some are born to elves, some the dwarves, some to orcs, and others to various human kingdoms. These children are regarded by some as divine prophets, others as anti-christs, and to some the heralds of the end times.   The reason for the birth of these Aasimar remains unknown, even to the individuals themselves. Some have begun quests to search for answers, and to determine which god sent them to this realm and why.
