The Founding of Krowethia

IN THE SOUTHERN SPEAR OF THE CROW QUEEN, MANY GIANTS, SNAKES, AND HUMANS DID ROAM. ONLY THE JOTUN OF GREAT STRENGTH DID FOUND CITIES. WHEN THE CHALLENGE OF THE ALL FATHER DID COME, THE 6 CITIES DID UNITE. THE CITY OF NAARKOLON OF THE ISLE, GARAKAN OF THE NORTHERN POMMEL, TARALEK OF THE HILT, ASHVANIR OF THE MARSH, KARAK OF THE FERTILE FOREST, LARTHEL OF THE SOUTHERN COAST, AND SOORGOTHICA OF THE HEART. IN SOORGOTHICA, THE KINGS BOWED BEFORE THE GREATEST KING AMONGST THEM, THE KING OF KINGS, AGEROTH I, THE GREAT. AGEROTH DID PROCLAIM THAT KROWETHIA WOULD STAND FOR AN AGE, AND ALL JOTUN, HUMAN, ELF, AND OTHER WILL BOW BEFORE THEM. IN THIS TIME OF FOUNDING, THE FOUNDER AND DREAMER AGEORTH I, LORD SOVERIGN OF ALL KROWETHIA, DID BREAK THE SERPENTS DAGGERS AND BOW THEM TO HIS WILL. THE MEN OF THE SOUTH DID SCATTER TO HILL AND FOREST, AND PAY TRIBUTE TO THEIR LORDS.

Purpose

This document was likely a common peice of iconography found throughout the Krowethic empire as a sign of hegemony. Storvakis took this from his own city to Astergor when he founded this library.    The 'Southern Spear' refers to Cape County in the modern day Commonwealth. Of the cities named, only a few ruins of each have been found. "Naarkolon of the Isles" refers to a megacity that took the entire Salian Isle. Largely destroyed, the ruins of its industrial quarter form the sewer system of contemporary Lordsport. Garakan was likely around modern Gurnbourne, although no Krowethic ruins have ever been found. Taralek is completly lost to history with no records or ruins found yet. Ashvanir comprises a famous set of ruins around the modern village of Mora, and later became a centre of the Orangescale tribe of lizardfolk. Soorgothica, the capital and founding city of Krowethia, was ancient Saunton. The ruins of this city make up the old town and underground districts of the current Commonwealth capital.   Also note, the document does not mention dwarves or halfings, indicating that in early mythic age these groups had not yet migrated to the modern region of The Commonwealth and likely came post-krowethic empire.   The references to serpents daggers likely refers to the lizardfolk tribes, as multiple myths and hisotrical artefacts suggest the Lizardfolk of cape county were allied with the giants throughout their early history, likely as a result of the conquest mentioned here. This also shows that ancient giants did not see a distiniction between reptiles, lending some credence to other sources of "giant snakes" potentially being dinosaurs.
