Raiyon

Raiyon, the planet, began as a dustbowl populated by beasts and creatures of low intelligence for the early part of it's life. Then during what was called The Primal Evolution, great beings of power from the astral sea and from other planes arrived like the great dragons, the prime devils and demons (which aren't the typical all evil beings they usually are), the gin and some true forms of original deity. (Essentially all of the gods showed up).   After fixing the chaos of the world, they all helped to create lesser beings than themselves in order to bring about civilization or worship or other goals they each had, thus creatures like humans, tieflings, genasi and dwaves were born. Over time the gods became less present on Raiyon and instead guided from a distance through their followers and children.   As is the same with many stories of worlds, the seeds of conflict steadily grew, causing unrest between nations and providing a catalyst for many great wars. In seek of power, many started to interact and toy with the concept of magic far beyond their control. Before anyone could expect it, the unthinkable happened.    It is said that the skies plunged into immediate darkness, all light from beyond the planet was clouded and blocked by a swirling mass of dust and soot. The planet shook, causing cracks to form across it's surface, causing cities to fall and crumble, and most importantly allowing dark forces to take to the rise.   There was no accurate measure of how long the Dark Ages lasted, for all of civilaztion it was just a never-ending nightmare.   After many hundreds of years, with the help of several powerful forces, the people of Raiyon and beyond were able to bring light back to their skies at a great cost. Since then, the races and cities that survived and outlived the Dark ages have began to rebuild and try to go back to prospering as a society. There was a sudden push to be unified against the common threat of it ever happening again, and so alliances and unions were formed. Not all were so precautionary and protective though. The seeds of greed and power always sit as a tempting offer at the table, and many have trodden the same paths as their ancestors.   With many many years passed the previous cataclysmic event there has been talk of preparations for others, many leaders are expecting more bad to come. The dark forces which were given power in the original dark ages seem to be gaining power once again, the natural unrest of the planet is also leading people to expect the worse.   In this growing time of unease there are many moving parts and differing narratives, but the stories we shall focus on...are yours
