Princess, Lady Sonia Beoulve Valice

Sonia was never the most notable of the Beoulve house. Third in line to the throne of the Duchy of Valice, she never expected to earn the throne. She instead dedicated her life to the Church of Avalon, in reverence to Bahamut. She was graced with radiant power, as well as the skilled, tactical learning in combat by her knight whom she apprenticed under. But after she had graduated from her apprenticeship, she spent her time talking and caring for the people in Valice Province, acting as a dignitary, which she excelled at. She was loved and valued for her patience and acceptance of others.
But it was on a night where nothing was expected of her, when she retired to her chambers in her castle, when the unthinkable happened. Assassin's crept within the castle walls, murdering the guards and sneaking into the bed chambers of her family. The family was gathered together, bound, and gagged as the assassins attempted to frame the family as heretics by performing a dark ritual to a demon. But with her training, Sonia was able to escape, retreat, and gather a weapon. She challenged her assailants, and although her family was killed by her threats of defense, Sonia was able to disable and secure all of the assailants, one found to be the Princess of the nearby Province of Fafnir. Whether her goal was to usurp power in Valice, or whether it was to simply cause chaos, it was no clear. But Princess Valice, now the last of her name and only heir to the throne of Valice, publicly executed all of the assailants.
In her time of grief and need, however, she learned of a way to potentially bring her family back, and that King Avalon himself would be willing to aid and finance the journey so long as his needs were served. Without hesitation, the dutiful knight and heir accepted the quest with full candor.
