Some leylines are overflowing with energy. Deities introduce Elemental Temples to solve the problem.
Some of the leylines started overflowing with energy, and this was causing some problems. The Elemental Deities added Elemental Temples hidden throughout the world, one for each element. These temples help funnel the overflow of energy and funnel it into other planes to keep the material plane safe from overflowing energy.
