The Summer Tree's Corruption
Today should go well. So Kosuke, Zahira, Eligius and I are going to take that lead, this elder wants us to go and clear out their ritual tree called “The Summer Tree”. Turns out they’ve sent out four something groups ahead of us, none of them have come back ….. That gives me confidence. The place I must say is ABSOLUTELY filthy, ridden with corrupt waters and spider creatures, even has them medicinal plants that saps at the corruption. Can’t just burn down the place, so were going to traverse it.
For the most part, we’ve gone around the inside of the tree fighting off all the spiders and burning away the webs, little fuckers explode apparently. I can use this to my advantage. After a bit we got to the crystal room, and more of the little ones appeared from the shrubs. Blasted. Next thing I fucking know giant spiked stalks appear from the waters! What the fuck?! They slammed us and we fought back. NEXT turns out it was another leviathan creature, gaping maws, crystals and vines all over the place. Eligius was our brightest star in this fight by tossing the spiderlings at the creature, knocking it out every time it got up, and he was the one to take it down in a fit of oni rage. Lastly after the fight, I found myself one of the baby spiders and pacified it. Time to go get my reward, and to get the group drinks.
Overgrown Cavern City
I was brought around by Eligius to help deal with the next layer of the Graveyard, this one in particular is this old sunken city. Apparently it was a bio-research lab, research on plants like strawberries and bananas, and all of the such. Overgrown is an understatement, it appeared the entire place was covered in vines, all pointed to its center. Feral fly traps with gnawing teeth, spine traps, and dragging vines, nothing could stop us on our trek to the center..... until I went and pissed off the damn thing keeping it all up. We were dragged through the place, cracked my damn ribs. HUGE sentient plant guarding a green crystal tree of all things in the center! No plant was going to kill us that day, we struck it down, fast and hard before it got anything good on us. I took the worst of it, I had to take a stay at the hospital back at Reprieve, where I am now. Zahira then did an unthinkable thing and took the soul of the plant ..... a plant. Whatever. She gets one freebie. She does it again and takes a sentient person's soul and gives it to her damned hag of a mother, a hag, she's going to eat some silver six feet under the ground. Sute's trying to take care of me, whatever. I can take care of myself.
Signing off again.
Elemental Crystal Crisis!
I'm about damn ready to use my engineering knowledge to level this place, but Hydra, this aquamancer we found on the way up here had a ritual to cleanse the tower from the chaotic energies inside that ...... huge crystal. Not sure how I was going to do it at first, but ..... it happened. Here goes.
Upon entering inside, Sol was designated for priming and preparing base floor bombs, with Goth, Eligius and me sweeping the floors to find Aela. This place was a WRECK, everything was crystallized down to the last spoon. After a good long chat we ascended the stairs, taking out chaotically changed elemental creatures drawn to the crystal, living a pained existence. Each room was cleared, each room we found more books pertaining to the knowledge of each type of elemental crystal.... except the one that was in the middle of this place. Apparently Hydra had that covered, miraculously. The kitchen was absolutely ridden with the explosive crystals, and we were good to rest and eat for a few moments. Top floor had this really scary goon, a being of pure chaos channeling powers directly from, or into the crystal, probably the main guy. Haven't seen or heard from the wizard yet. The fight was ..... bad on our half, we were ragged for most of the fight, still recovering. Halfway through the fight, the ceiling exploded and Eligius went down and I had to take it out quick. The final shot was fired into its crystal heart, and the specter disappeared into nothingness. We connected all the bombs and brought our friends downstairs, they found that girl. Unconscious they were, barely awake by the time we found em. Blew up the tower, crystal gone. Got Aela her belongings..... all in a good day's work.
Delving into Glacier's Rest
After those visions we received back in the Reprieve, weeks had passed during our travels by boat. Kosuke found that our journey would lead us near the Bridge Plains, so naturally, Glacier's Rest would be our first landing point. As I got off the boat, I begun to immediately search for wizards in the area, naturally as to find a wizard nearby. Did this after buying a vintage Volcanorian Rifle stock from a scam artist. Got him beat up, intimidated him, got my piece to bring back to Gunag. They were very hesitant at first, hells nearly turned me away until I mentioned that crystal leviathan from earlier. This *did* peak their interest, and indeed did give me a list of names for wizards who left the MCA, or the Magical Caster's Association.
I respected them for that, thanked them well. Surprised as hell it actually worked is all, not that charismatic. So I brought these five names back to Varis, and we figured to go to the city hall in this run down town. Nice place. The magistrate in charge needed some buttering up to in order to find the locales of the names I found. Turns out he got a list of locations that matched the visions. Fingerprints placed, sketches taken, oaths made, and laws followed, we got the info we needed from the public records, all thanks to Filea's convincing. Found it was this Aela girl up on the coast of the Bridge Plains. Our journey was set, just have to wait on the other guys.
Day 1: Travel to Reprieve
That Empress Novia lent us her ship to get to the Reprieve, we got to explore the ship. Quaint thing really, "The Sun Fox" they call it, but not the most defensive vessel for an Empress, try Volcanorian Airships for better results. Gun emplacements were too inconvenient and wouldn't hit the side of a damn leviathan if they tried. Funnily enough, we got attacked by crystal creatures and a leviathan, as if on cue. Of course those guns did no help as we had to do all the work. Got paid, commendations and housing provided on the island, all standard. Whatever. This Empress and her guards seem incompetent in handling this crisis, good thing we're here.

Day 0, Arrival at Sea Breeze
July 16th, 578 AVF
Journal Entry 1: Falkerstone's a long ways away from here, long aways from a true nation.... Going out into the world to make my name made, get some riches, and do some sport shooting against some of these new undead in the West. I finally made it from the Velorian Port all the way to Sea Breeze on this ship called the "Charming Siren".... I must say it was quite the opposite of that. I was marooned below deck for the majority of these two weeks, quite a drag being cramped up in such a small space for so long, folk were interesting enough however. Met two decent ones: Gothmog Stonefist and Eligius "the lazily exuberant" Yami, gotta say they are quite capable men. One late night before we arrived in Sea Breeze, I was sleeping out under the stars, when out of nowhere, Gothmog does a war cry, these shark people in strange outfits were raiding the vessel. Those shmucks were swiftly dealt with, thank goodness my rifle was on hand, hell one even jumped off the boat! Heard his water tank pop in the propulsion disk and everything.
Our "charitable effort", or my target practice didn't go unnoticed, the owner of the ship once we got to the docks paid us around 300 platinum pieces for saving his ship. Already making a name for myself. Rent was paid for by said owner at the "Washed Up Mermaid", an adventurer's tavern full of life. Room's nice and cozy, this short stock fox guy named Kosuke Kobayashi made me this magic belt that matches my vest, should fit nicely. Next we're headed over to the Crystal Company in a few days, ready to send us out to the Reprieve in Southeast Randera soon. Those going with me are this masked paladin Filea, a well acquainted gent named Varis, the jovial Solomon, the skittish Julian, and this crazy witch named Zahira, probably my favorite. In the meantime, I'll be upgrading my trusty longarm. Let's see what this wild land has in store for us. First entry done.
