Scanlon Estate

Scanlon Estate is the home of Squire Dennis. The estate includes wheat fields and apple orchards, as well as a parkland before the Scanlon Manor house. There is also a pond within the estate grounds. In addition to Squire Dennis, various laborers live on the estate, including share farmers.

History

In 671 a blight destroyed most of the crops at Scanlon Estate. In order to provide for his workers, Squire Dennis constructed a kitchen in the parkland before his manor to ensure his laborers were fed. The food served was free of charge and included soups, porridge, bread, and ale, cooked in the manor's kitchen. The eating area was made up of trestle tables and was covered by awnings. It operated during the two hours before sunset.
671 was also the year when Scanlon was visited by Will Treaty in pursuit of the brigand Henry Wheeler
