The Renegade Rangers make their first moves against Morgarath
Political event
Prince Duncan is freed from Castle Wildriver by Halt and Crowley while the rest of the Renegade Rangers arrest Tiller at Haller's Rill.
Liberation of Prince Duncan
Two days before the tournament, Crowley and Halt made their move to liberate Prince Duncan from Castle Wildriver. Halt crossed the river which the castle took it's name from using a rope to help him cross safely, then he scaled the wall of the castle. He drew out one of the guards who he knocked unconscious. A second followed and was then shot and killed by Crowley. Halt incapacitated the remaining guard and freed the prince. They then made their escape down the wall and across the river using the same methods Halt had used to infiltrate the castle. From there they traveled to meet Arald and the other Renegade Rangers at Castle Gorlan.
Tiller's Arrest
Tiller, impersonating Prince Duncan, had occupied a village, taking the village inn as a base. Rangers Farrel and Berwick impersonated foresters and entered the inn. Farrel spoke with Tiller as Berwick scouted the inn. That night as the bandits slept, Berwick and Farrel infiltrated the inn and captured Tiller as he slept. As they carried Tiller downstairs Farrel lost his balance and was forced to throw Tiller down the stairs. The bandits were roused and the two rangers had to run to escape the inn. The Renegade Rangers formed a line outside on the main street. The bandits charged and the rangers opened fire, aiming for non lethal shots. A bandit made a charge at Farrel and Berwick and was killed. The rest of the bandits surrendered, and were given the choice of leave and disband, or be hunted down and hung. Tiller was then transported to Castle Gorlan.
