Ctenophages are often found near bodies of water. Alchemists believe that their bodies perform a chemical reaction with water that causes them to float in the air. Despite having no eyes, Ctenophages have good senses and will find any creature with blood near them in a short matter of time.

Ctenophages can be found solitary or in groups. They reproduce asexually and when in groups don't seems to interact with each other in any way. When they group together it is probably more a function of population density than any sort of social structure.
