The Twelve Marble Vessels
After the fall, the great masters came together and began work on pure forms to preserve the Unseen Faith into the coming centuries despite the undead threat. It was not until over 20 years later they were finally finished and given out to the paragons of the Unseen Order. One for each great master and one for exemplars of the order who embodied the order's ideals.
Vessel of Ouranos
The Vessel of
Ouronous was carved from marble as black as midnight and painstakingly painted it with a depiction of the night sky, as viewed from the observatory on the longest night of the year. It was given to the Master of Wind,
Cheon Yu, whose judgment is absolute and true. No lies nor secrets may survive in his presence, nothing escapes his everlasting gaze.
Vessel of Terras
The Vessel of
Terras was chiseled from the solid bedrock of the Throat of the World and was carved with a motif of ever climbing mountains. First gifted to the Master of the Earth,
Jiri Moyn, the great shield of the unseen. Whose strength has kept many monks from harm and shielded the monastery from any danger. None can break her nor slip past her formidable presence.
Vessel of Oceanus
The Vessel of
Oceanus was molded from soft blue marble and shaped and etched to imitate the ocean's waves. Gifted to the Master of the Waters,
Xero Mako, the man of a thousand fighting styles. Whose knowledge of combat was only equaled by the love for his students. None could survive under his onslaught, nor find his weakness.
Vessel of Solas
The Vessel of
Solas was hewn from the purest white marble and gilded, the purest of the marble vessels. Gifted to the Master of the Unseen Order, the great prophet Solas Solari for he was the best of us all. A great master who knew all our orders secrets and was its greatest mind. He who exemplified our order as its most perfect member.
Vessel of Minerva
The Vessel of
Minerva was sculpted from white marble and consumed by the flesh of
Minerva as vines and moss reclaimed the stony surface. It was given to the Master of the Vines,
Ren Shiro, who valued all life and could make even the dead grass flourish again. All that was nature bowed in respect to her, even the ancient trees bent to her whim.
Vessel of Thanatas
The Vessel of
Thanatas was molded from Blackstone and featured complex silvered etchings across its surface. Originally gifted not to a great master but a champion of death whose sole duty was to slaughter the undead and rebalance the land. An avatar of the Lady Death to work in her stead, in its wake only swift ruin followed.
Vessel of the Warrior
The Vessel of the Warrior was shaped in the image of the goliath Caz Claw who took up its mantle. He was the first appointee to the exemplars by unanimous vote. Few doubted his belief in the order and even fewer had no fear for his mighty hammer, the only one among the order who could defeat him was the legendary master Xero Mako.
Vessel of the Artist
The Vessel of the Artist was carved of a soft rose marble by the hands of the artisan that would one day dwell within it, Mistress Clara Alvarez the only female to be honored with a marble vessel. She was responsible for not only the restoration and completion of hundreds of murals and mosaics in The Grand Monastery but also some of the most beautiful sculptures to come out of the north in centuries. Her appointment was a torrid affair but her skill was simply too great to lose.
Vessel of the Devoted
The Vessel of the Devoted is a smooth, white marble form gifted to Mars Gillya for his lifelong service to the order's preservation. In his long years of service, he proved his loyalty is unquestionable and his resolve unshakeable. He continues his service even now and can be seen every thaw coming down the mountain to collect recruits and trade supplies for the coming year.
Vessel of the Poet
The Vessel of the Poet was formed of featureless grey marble and given to the playwright
Armos Dippot. The once famed aristocrat now spending his waning years in isolation bringing forth works of literary genius in his self imposed exile. Scholars may recall Armos Dippot's name among those involved in the mass compulsion incident in
Ravenpeak.
Vessel of the Wise
The Vessel of the Wise was carved of yellow marble in the mirror image of Brother Yin Soel after the completion of his 31 prophecies of the moon. His great wisdom comes with the knowledge of ages, having seen and recorded the history of the order so it may never be forgotten. Besides the Prophet, Brother Soel is among the most trusted mentor and adviser in the order.
Vessel of the Valiant
The Vessel of the Valiant was originally carved from white marble but was later almost entirely covered in a thin sheet of gold, engraves with the stories of great heroes. The vessel was said to be given to "he among us whose heart will never tip the scales and whose good deeds are as numerous as the stars. He who embodies our orders best values." It is unknown as to who precisely received the Vessel of the Valiant but the marble form is frequently sighted in the foothils of the Throat of the World.
