Falkovnian War Hound
These massive animals usually have their ears trimmed early on so they perk up and they look more menacing. The tail is often cut as well. They drool a lot.
These dogs are usually black and caramel and look like a mix between a Dobermann and a Rottweiller. They're usually around 90cm tall at the shoulder and 1.5m long, weighing about 50-70kg. But bigger beasts aren't uncommon in Flakovnia. They are so popular amongst the armies in Falkovnia that often they are fitted with armour. Sometimes even plate armour.
They are relentless in combat, usually attacking a single target in small packs of 2-4 dogs. Their jaws snap with violent strength and they rarely release a victim before it is prone and completely mangled.
Grimm has memories of the armies and these dreadful war dogs, used to hunt people when they try to flee the heavy grip of Falkovnian "justice". Trying to flee from these dogs usually leads to failure and subsequent horrible death under their jaws. These dogs look slow but they aren't. They are also trained for actual warfare, often being released in small packs to deal with commanding officers, by overbearing the officers' horses and when the officers themselves, usually in heavy armour, have trouble getting up from the muddy and bloodied fields, the dogs make sure the officer in question never gets up again. They're vicious and smart. Grimm's recollections of these hounds are very bloody.
