The Knowing Eye

The cult of The Knowing Eye seeks to bring enlightenment and understand to all of Ravnica. They believe that the current tension and strife between the ten Guilds of Ravnica is caused due to a lack of truth and illumination between us all. If we only allow the light of truth to encompass us, than our world will become a stronger, better and more peaceful place to live. In order to bring this enlightenment about, the cult searches for all lost, or forgotten knowledge, and revives it. They also pursue any and all information they come across, and are willing to offer the information to any who ask for it. Following the teachings of Urb'Luu, their great and all seeing diety, the students of the Knowing Eye seek out knowledge and bestow it freely among the masses. There is nothing that they are forbidden to learn, for they are instructed that all knowledge is valuable, treasured and worth learning. Those who seek to hide from the truth are only embracing ignorance and darkness and need to be enlightened. To this extent, it is common to find one of the students of The Knowing Eye preaching the tenets of truth and illumination on the street corners of Ravnica during the day. These students are easily identified by the robes that consists of layers of transparent fabric, and the glowing sash they have draped around their shoulders. Due to their unrestrained quest for enlightenment, and refusal to adhere to the laws pertaining to the distribution of information and the seeking of forbidden knowledge, the cult of The Knowing Eye runs into frequent conflict with House Dimir librarians/agents, the Boros Legion and the Azorius Senate. All of which who have reasons to either restrict what information the citizens of Ravnica have access to, or enforce the laws that have been passed down through time.
