Erstwhile

A delicate and sophisticated race of elves known as the Erstwhile once were an important, if not smaller, clan of elves that existed in the earliest days of Ravnica. As conflict approached, they laid themselves to rest in coffins in Umerilek, their enchanted mausoleum that prevented their souls from leaving or decaying even after their bodies were dead. Here they waited to be resurrected. They still wear their stately attire, despite its moldering condition, and they lend an air of high culture to the undercity court of the Golgari.
