Fermented Goats' Milk a Day for Twins
"My mother always told me this old tale that she learned from her mother. Which she learned from her mother. So on and so forth. When she heard I was pregnant she cawed constantly that she wanted twin grandchildren. So she created this disgusting concoction of goats milk. I almost vomit just thinking about it. I'm so glad I left shortly after. Well, at least I have a bouncing baby boy now. He will NEVER know what goats milk taste like. EVER!"

Summary
In the farming village of Elfoss the Bielecki family has resided there for generations. They, like many other families, believe in an old wives' tale of the powers of fermented goats milks ability to make it more likely for women to bare twins. It's said during the first signs of pregnancy that if the mother drinks fermented goats milk for three months after that the mother will bare twins.
Historical Basis
The historical seeds of this wives' tale is assumed to have roots in the baby boom during the late years of the Age of War. During that time the town of Elfoss had an increase of births that year. Those whom were poorer couldn't afford ways to sustain milk at a suitable temperature. They tried to sustain the milk by added yeast to it.
Twins became common place in Elfoss for a few years. Some of the midwives noticed that most of those whom gave birth to twins dank the fermented goats milk. It then became a cultural norm for those who want twins would consume fermented goats milk.
Spread
The myth has spread through the northern part of the Hinterlands. More rural villages believe in the wives' tale while more modern cities just assume it's one of the many weird tales from the backwoods of society.
