Notice for Emperor Leoven

Daemon's Declaration might be the most important document of the Aethra's history. Not because of how well-written it is, or the contents of it, but because of its impact it had on the whole social and governmental structure of Aethra. It signifies the end of strong's rule over the weak., and opens a new page in the ruling systems of Aethric countries.

Notice for Emperor Leoven, or Daemon's Declaration is the message from Daemon Ashea to Emperor Leoven, that unofficially started the Three Hundred Years War.

Historical Details

Background

With Emperor Leoven's regime becoming more and more oppressing each day, Daemon Ashea, with his rebel force, took over the city of Alanyth and sent this notice to Emperor Leoven the First. Though the messages aim seems like to stop the oppression of Light Elves, Daemon Ashea knew very well that it would trigger a war.

History

Daemon's Declaration quickly started the Three Hundred Years War. As its name signifies, the war lasted for three hundred years, (306, to be exact) and resulted in the fall of the Empire of Clarus, and the disastrous calamity of Refulgence, which caused the extinction of Light Elves.
Ashea Imperium was founded during the early years of the war, quickly followed by the Alliance of Aethra. It was the first time that various races became allies in the history of Aethra, and it is still seen as the pinnacle of solidarity and cooperation in the continents history.

Notice for Emperor Leoven

To the Emperor Leoven the First, ruler of Empire of Clarus, and the leader of Light Elves;

Because of your incompetent officers, you may not know that one your most important cities in the west, Alanyth, has fallen under the will of her people yesterday night. The fact that one of your biggest cities could fall in just one night tells a lot about the pitiful state that your country is in.
You have agonized us "inferior" races for more than a hundred years, saw us as vulgar barbarians, treated us worse than cattle. But no more. We won't tolerate any kinds of inequality or injustice anymore.
Your governor Matias, for his devilish sins he commited in the last few years, has been executed as an example to all corrupted officials of the Empire. His 27 Light Elven subordinates on the other hand are still alive, however it is up to you if they'll stay that way or not.
Our demands are simple. Stop oppressing the races you deemed "inferior" and recognize us as equals. Remove your inhumane taxes. Fire all of your unfairly positioned officials. Open the management and government ranks to other races. Release everyone wrongfully prisoned under your cruel rule. Last but not least, give up on your unlawfully claimed throne.
If you're open for discussions and willing to make terms with us, we're willing to sit around the table. However, if you're not going to accept our demands, then expect more cases like Alanyth in the near future.
