Forbidden Nightmares
A story of the hollowing and forbidden creatures that swallow the light and thrive within the dark as a whole. Where nothing is pure or evil and whomever learns of it's true origins becomes mad.
Summary
The Book of Birth has given details of what has happened in a consensus of over a thousand years before the first era, but the ancient legends of the forbidden lore of the Nightmares comes into path within this Book. As the void comes into pass and a universe is born from such cosmic entities, these evolutions don't only form such rare sightings such as stars and nebulas that we are familiar with through the vast inclinations of space, but also a violent and maniacal race of creatures that hail from above that even the leaders of Omyth fear. These creatures spanned before creation of the material plane and continue to favor their existence as a dynamic image of what is horrific and what is dreadful.
Nightmares is what they are called. Gruesome and horrifying creatures of the darkness that ravage anything and almost everything in its path, so long it lives and the creature has the blood it requires. Like a leech for blood and an aberration for the mind. These monsters have lived inside what is coursed as the Sanctum of Fears within the outer edges of the Astral Plane. There was the ancient Gods of Power, these creatures claimed as Primordial creatures that spawn within the climate and shape of empowered monsters from the oceans. Creatures that look of fish, crab, arachnids or inexplainable images.
Ruling within the Sanctum of Fears is a basis of where all in reality is destroyed and in ruins. Nothing along with the survival of mortal souls remains in this path. All hope is gone and nothing of the similar reality makes sense in this location. The one who masters the Sanctum is called, Numavuul. A disastrous being is a cosmic entity of neither good or bad and ranges itself in many different forms of gargantuan personifications of this unsightly being. Where it rules with many children by its side as spawns from parasites and shifts from reality.
One famous child is Vag Celesfere, the Moloch leader of Insanity. Though not much could be provided, it is said that she was born from a the beyond then sent as an infernal within Omyth as who she is now. She is one of the known carriers of this horrific spreading within the Realm as all known life would be threatened against its very existence. Numavuul carries his intimidating appeal as part of the Court of Luthavil, an ancient and immortal family that has charged for darkened knowledge only to defend themselves from any other species of the universe. Once his mother had been vanquished by Draul, plummeting his might against the Empress of the Nightmares and destroying her with everything he had, he vowed to slay any and all that stand against him and his vengeance.
In time, the Court of Luthavil has given time for Numavuul to give word, thus his word is vengeance. He plans to do nothing but slay all that have spawned from Draul and Brendall, outside of the Astral Plane. He ventured far to come across the legendary Vrayzeith, the Shadow Serpent. her strong cognition teaches Numavuul the strategies to winning a war against a god. Driven by power, he requests how to learn this sort of power though, the wise and malignant serpent denies his request. Numavuul then chooses to vanquish and destroy the shadow figure then destroy the mantle from which it came. Only trick is Vrayzeith shall spawn for eternity as long as darkness remains but for now, the one that destroys her shall take up the mind of her.
With the soul of Vrayzeith within the body of Numavuul, the Nightmare then grows exponentially and possesses a colossus power that could ruin entire planets and possibly the universe itself. Not only with such physical attributes cause him to enhance, but the mind of the Shadow Serpent grants him the teachings to create a Nightmare through a leeching effect and steal a mortal against their will and grant him an army through thievery as creation and marks of ill will as a malevolent teaching. He then no longer calls himself as Numavuul anymore, as the mind of Vrayzeith conquers half of his mind as two beings sharing the same body. He is beyond a Nightmarish being who reigns a fearsome darkness, but now bleeds the vile blood of insanity and ponders so often of destruction for his own gain. Numavuul is no more, it is only the Nightmare God, the Malevolence.
