The Undine (the undead)

the Undine or otherwise known as the undead are the rarely spoken about lingering souls of nocturne. During the war of the comet foul magic was stirred and great atrocities were committed that led the wells to be overflowing with souls. This left them weak to disturbance and the darker magics of necromancers, mages, and other antagonists of the Matrons passage bringing many dangerous and mindless souls back as their personal thralls and puppets. However either through other means or by regaining their sentience some undead have re awoken in their undead forms whether it be a flesh-less skeleton, zombie, or the wraith like form they have once again been thrown back into the mortal coil and into a world that no longer remembers or respects them.   The Undine vary greatly in ideals for a soul of every race has almost certainly found itself pulled from its rest and back here, Leaving it very difficult for individuals and officials to judge their character from a good soul to the bad. Many of which out right banning their presence in cities and townships or at worse attacking them on sight in the recent past. This led many to many retreating to the recesses of the world to avoid being met with the disgust or slaughter from their once former homes and friends. However much of this has begrudgingly changed after the law was set between the two factions of the "Promise of Lingerance" To which stated lingering souls not be barred from towns or otherwise once less they or their brethren demonstrate themselves a threat, However promised no recompense for what they had lost in their former lives. This left many of these new souls alone, homeless, and with no one to call their own not even their fellow dead, but it at least gave them a chance to make what they can of their new sentience.   Race traits: https://imgur.com/gallery/4WeXoo2   (Revenants are just zombies so their Eternal Vengeance trait is instead replaced with a 1d4 guidance check to survival checks in tracking creatures.)

Basic Information

Anatomy

the Undine vary greatly in form for when they are either brought back, or otherwise reformed on the material plane it is largely dependent on their bodies age and constitution. From the younger bodies who still bore flesh and now walk the world once more in a zombie like form or their skeleton counterparts. To the etheral form of a ghost, that bears many of their tangible features they had in life.

Genetics and Reproduction

They simply cannot reproduce, and by all means they would rather not see more like them brought back lest they have devolved entirely into insanity.

Growth Rate & Stages

Many do not age and are largely immortal until struck back to oblivion by anthers sword or at worse their own. However many do not wish to go back to that bleak nothingness or so they remember. . .

Additional Information

Geographic Origin and Distribution

Tragically even with the attempts (albeit poorly) of officials to allow them into society, few choose to join them making them a a very minor population in towns and cities. For even with the regulation they are largely met with distaste and mistreatment for few see them for who they once were or the souls they are, and only for their ghastly figures pairing them with the mindless and tragic undead who would kill them in their sleep if given the chance. Yet even so Undine are scattered throughout the continent in small towns or otherwise many as individuals trying to get by clinging to what semblance of a mind and soul they have left.
Lifespan
They live and walk the earth untill they find peace, or blade or time send them back into oblivion.
