Shandor Sidirourgós (a.k.a. The Iron Lich)

Black Bones, the Iron Lich was once Shandor Sidirourgós, a smith whose talent and skill were the stuff of legends. As his renown and the demands on his time grew, he restricted himself to ever more challenging and rarified projects. One day he claimed to have pierced the veil and discovered the primordial secret essence of the very concept of metal itself; and that he had fallen in love with it.
He demonstrate his love and ultimate mastery by immersing himself in molten iron, and when it cooled his now black, metal skeleton burst from his metallic tomb like an eggshell and blazed with a heat all his own. Now an eternally unliving being, Black Bones devotes himself to his craft in a hidden workshop within the Arpak Mountains where he binds spells and souls into his mighty works.
