Peerless Thropp, the Eminent Thropp of Nest Hardings, was the head of the Thropp family for decades, as well as a highly respected and wealthy individual in Munchkinland. Despite the fact that the Eminence was passed through the female line he came to rule the territory as the Eminent Thropp. He had one daughter, two granddaughters, and three great-grandchildren before his death.
He came to his title by not having any living sisters at the time of the previous eminence's death. He had one child, Lady Parta Thropp who gave birth to two daughters before her death. One of them, Sophelia Thropp, gave up her right to the throne and the other, Melena Thropp, died before him, though she had three children. Several years into the adulthood of his great-grandchildren he was still holding on to life, though several years later he would die and be replaced by his great-granddaughter, Nessarose, the Wicked Witch of the East.
