Entropic Touch

A touch-based spell of the Ancient of Filth, typically used by powerful initiates and cultists of that Power when they are threatened by someone or something in close quarters distance. It's basically a combat-ending magic, in that there aren't many entities out there that are capable of surviving even a grazing hit. However, it's relatively easy to accidentally injure yourself (or at the very least damage your equipment), making it slightly impractical unless you're trained in using it.   It also has an unfortunate side-effect of requiring a significant amount of attention from the Ancient of Filth while learning the lore necessary for obtaining this particular spell. However, when a mage is engaged in close quarters by something bigger and more dangerous than he is, this spell can be a life-saver.

Effect

Entropic Touch instantly decays all physical objects that the caster's hands are touching (except for his own body). The particular effect of magic depends on the target. Trees tend to rot into black sludge, animals will appear to have died of old age, metal will rust into (eventual) nothingness, The effect cannot be resisted. It is, however, utterly incapable of injuring entities that are biologically immortal. Many undead are also essentially invulnerable to it.   What's more, it tends to hit 'equipment' before the person behind it. In short, a 'grazing' hit with the entropic touch will decay your clothes rather than yourself, giving you a narrow window opportunity to dodge the attack, especially when you're wearing a thick body armor.

Side/Secondary Effects

Entropic Touch doesn't recognize ownership of objects. As a result, activating it while having something in your hands (like, a gun) will decay it first. While caster's body is invulnerable to it, it's very common case to accidentally decay even your own clothes while under the influence of entropic touch. Overusing it also appears to selectively affect the caster, typically by causing skin decay and weakening of body, alongside of corporeal stability weakening.   In exchange it is relatively easy on sanity.
