Barkhide
Effect
By using life magic, one enhances some of the properties and growth of their skin in order to make it resemble a tough and thick layer of bark. Adding an additional layer of protection. However, this armor is flammable like wood and while it is much tougher and durable than normal skin or wood it can still be damaged. The spell also lessens the flexibility of joints in the affected area so using it on one’s entire body would render them almost as still as a statue or tree.
The spell requires the caster to fuel and maintain it with their Aura.
Side/Secondary Effects
Improper casting can lead to tumors forming on the caster's skin.
