Cleanse and Decay

Effect

A simple spell, used for disinfecting and sanitizing items or areas by flooding the range with death magic and killing anything cause inside. Anything killed by the spell will decay in a matter of seconds.

Side/Secondary Effects

For a short period of time, usually a few minutes, the area affected will smell like something rotten. This dissipates quickly, especially if the spell was performed to completion. If not, it may leave the area more contaminated than it started, with the corpses of whatever animals, plants, or microbes left in an advanced state of decomposition.
Although a weak enough spell to be safely used around the living without protective gear, it may cause itching and a foul body odor if used on them directly.
