Curse of the Mouse

Effect

Transforms the target of the spell into a small mouse. As a curse, the effect carries regardless of the caster's input and can be incredibly hard to remove, most cases requiring a god's intervention. If the target of the spell dies, they are transformed back to their original form.

Side/Secondary Effects

AS a quite easy spell to cast, rarely will it be botched or done incorrectly, although side effects are still present from time to time. These vary, but usually result in the target of the spell still being able to speak despite their mouse body. For those in which the curse has been lifted, often they present with much higher anxiety than prior to their forced shapeshifting and a fear of birds, wide areas, and heightened fear of canines such as dogs, wolves, or foxes. One effect of the curse is that once transformed, the target does not have the lifespan of an ordinary mouse, instead living as long as they would if they retained their original form, although it is a common misconception that they will have the same lifespan of a mouse.
