Jedi believe that they are vessels for the Force's will to help others, and are guided by the Force to where they are most needed.
Tenets of Faith
There is no emotion, there is peace.
There is no ignorance, there is knowledge.
There is no passion, there is serenity.
There is no chaos, there is harmony.
There is no death, there is the Force.
Ethics
The principle of selflessness is central to the Jedi. One part of this principle is the doctrine of nonattachment, which states that a Jedi must not seek to possess a person or item, and must be willing to release and let things and people go in the service of others.
Sects
Corellia has a sect of Green Jedi, informally known as "Greenies," who do not vow to serve all people in need above all else, but rather to serve Corellia above all else.
