Squire (Jonkvrouw) Sussie von Ooye,
Sussie came to Doorwerth Castle as a baby, where she was raised by the Order of the Bee. Her mother and father are serving a lifetime in prison in the USA for large scale drug trafficking.
From Doorwerth Castle to Fryslân and back
As a baby Sussie came to Doorwerth Castle, bringing her to the castle was James his first job for the order. But after a year, Pieter-Jan Egberink (Knight in the Order of the Bee) took her with him to his house in Fryslân, to grow up in a place with more childeren. Sussie went to primary and high school in the small Frisian village, and as a result she speaks excellent Frysk. After high school she moved back to Doorwerth Castle as that was within easy travel distance to the university she wanted to attent.
Not that Sussie never visited the castle during her time in Fryslân, she did often, Pieter-Jan took her down there for all major order events, aswell as parties like Christmas and new years. When Karel van Gelre came to live at Doorwerth, she would visit on his birthday and even stay holidays over occasionally.
Because of her years with Pieter-Jan and his family, Sussie regards him and his wife as her parents, and will often adress them as such.
Hobbies
Jigsaw puzzles, playing violin and sewing.
She sounds like an interesting character. I love the overview of her history.
