Calligrapher's Supplies

This casing is easily attached to the hip, composed of soft leather wrapped over a stiff cured leather case. It holds two glass ink wells, a dozen sheets of parchment, and three quills. These supplies are most often used to create works of art or maps, but can also be used to create priestly talismans used for a variety of mystical effects.

Downtime Actions:

Warding Talismans [Travel] - During a day of travel, you can draw or renew warding talismans along one vehicle and up to four beasts of burden or shelters. These talismans grant advantage on the first saving throw occupants are forced to make by a spirit, and if they succeed on that saving throw they take no damage if they would otherwise take half. While the talismans have not been activated, a spirit cannot approach within 5 feet of the warded object or beast. A spirit may also break the talismans by taking the attack action against the warded object.
Map Making [Town] - In an age where roads are a rare luxury and the distance between villages in almost unknown, a good map can be the difference between a three day trip and a three week misadventure. Utilizing the knowledge of the local citizenry and brief excursions around the settlement, you can create a makeshift map to help guide you and your's. For each Downtime Action you spent on this, your map is good for one day of travel away from town, to a maximum of your proficiency bonus. For each day of travel the map is useful, your group travels 20% faster and the Guide rolls their checks with advantage.
