Relklin

Relklin is a post-privacy world in which highly advanced computers make electronic encryption obsolete and authenticity a luxury that only the rich and powerful can afford. In some nations, communicating through any non government-sanctioned channel is considered treason and punishable by imprisonment or even death. Magic is one of the few things that can still encrypt messages that can't be decrypted by brute force. As such, magic-wielders are highly taboo in some cultures. Those born with powers, or lucky enough to find someone to teach them, have little choice but to keep their magic secret, with a select few hired by powerful entities to do their "necessary evils."
