Drow

Drow are a subrace of Elves. The Drow came about when an Elven weaver, Arachne, challenged the gods and was cursed. Arachne's curse made her sensitive to sunlight, and so she hid underground from the sunlight and discovered the Underdark. Almost all Drow are from the Underdark as a result.
