Rogue Settlement in Remnants of Diaghal | World Anvil

Rogue

Rogue is an oasis town in southeastern Qamenkas. Founded by the Zhao Ru, it is used for livestock farming.

Government and Defences

Rogue is managed by the conceited male half-orc drunkard Bok. He was placed in charge by Suetane Zhao Ru, after the assassination of the previous mayor, the petulant male Forjolse dwarf Lumgar Drakegut. Rogue is guarded by a cadre of the Fearless Hounds.

Commerce

Rogue’s economy is based primarily around the livestock trade. In addition, it is along the main trade route out of the Baokish Territories.

Geography

Rogue is in southeastern Qamenkas, next to the Skyfall Spring. It is part of the Baokish Territories. Landmarks in Rogue include:
  • The Rogue Market - a causeway bazaar in the village. Most of the vendors specialize in food, animal parts, and tools useful for livestock farming.
  • Evening’s Repose - a worn inn run by the sentimental halfling man Quinras Rumblebrand. Quinras insists on taking a token for each traveller that stays there, leading to a cluttered look for the establishment.
  • The Uneven Chain - a faded inn and tavern run by the pitiable Kayal woman Tuhnis Vome. While the look of the inn is somewhat drab, the cook, the helpful Tsekito Elf woman Naisana Sireno, is famous for her delicious meals.

History

Rogue was established in 1330 MT by the Zhao Ru for the purpose of providing food to Fu Baoki.   In 1357 MT, Lumgar Drakegut, the mayor of the town, was assassinated. It is suspected that the Zhao Ru carried out the job after Lumgar pushed back against some of their operations.
