Career
Qualifications
Aspiring actors are trained in an apprenticeship system after being accepted to a troupe. After being trained for a year, they make their debut with the troupe. During this year, they learn to act, sing, dance, play certain instruments, and stage fight, among other skills. Not all actor types have to learn these skills, but it is highly encouraged for all actors to know them--just in case they have to learn a role outside their role type
Career Progression
Newly debuted apprentices are known as astri--"stars" There are many ranks of astri, but the greatest actors are known as astri eterna--"eternal stars"
Payment & Reimbursement
Actors are paid a day's wage at the very least, but depending on the troupe and how good they are in performing, they may earn quite a lot more.

Workplace
Most troupes have their own theaters, but some may rotate among theaters, or even travel full time, not being bound to any one theater. Many traveling troupes do have a theater to use as their base when it is too dangerous to travel.
Dangers & Hazards
Acting can be very physical, so the risk of injury is ever present, in addition to mishaps on the road or offstage. Luckily, most troupes do everything they can to keep their actors and crew safe.

Legality
Troupes are allowed to put on any sort of play they wish, within reason--plays that violate common decency, incite rebellion, or insult the royal family are not allowed--but this hasn't stopped some troupes to try and push the envelope.
