1. Game Basics

Whenever possible the method of choice for resolving situations is simply to let players act as their characters in whatever situation they are in, with the GM acting out all non-player roles. However whenever multiple people attempt actions at obvious cross-purposes or that have a significant chance of failure we need to use dice rolls and rules to interpret the results. In most cases, you will be rolling a d20 to get under or above a stat, or to beat some calculated number.
