Wyrm

Vast sandworm-like beings that were as gods to the inhabitants of Hallownest and related dreams. Nigh-immortal, they could voluntarily undergo a sort of "death" and permanently sacrifice their massive form for a much smaller, humanoid body capable of interacting with human-scale creatures on their own terms.
