A valheru, also known as a dragon lord. The god-king of a civilization of reptilian humanoids.

Personal history
At some point in the past, gods trapped Zagrius in a containment tube underwater in the center of a circle of islands near Meridan. On July 4th, 23 ARL, Knight, Pele Firewing, Drake, Sith, and Lillith were led to Zagrius's prison by his kroxigor followers while the party was visiting the area in preparation for the Pirate War. They entered his dreams so they could speak with him without initially freeing him.
After some discussion and evaluation of Zagrius's motives, the party chose to release him. He gave them great boons in return. Sith is getting Zagrius’s help in acquiring followers (which in this case involves an entire new species of worshippers). Knight now always reacts first in combat. Pele got a Charisma enhancement and a pseudodragon companion who she named Dr. Julia Heroborn. Drake got a pair of powerful magic rings. Lillith got something that made certain observers make jokes about Disney.
Zagrius's kroxigors subsequently helped with scouting the undead pirate fleets in the area. Since then, with the end of the Pirate War and the resolution of the undead pirate problem, Zagrius's plans and location are unknown.
