Fern's "Gift"

Fern's "Gift" allows for the host to control the minds of other animals if they bite them. But this "gift" is a curse as well.
One can only possess an animal if they give there "consent" so to speak. Although

Fern's gift is consumed by eating the sap of Fern's tree in the desert.

Symptoms

If the gift is used to much, the host will slowly detiorate. Their skin will disappear, and will become a skeleton. Other issues caused by this include: Easily able to fall apart, being unable to speak when your tongue falls out of your skull, and other various organs falling out of your rib cage.

Treatment

There is no way to cure the effects of Fern's gift on the host.

History

Only two foxes have been known to be affected by the "gift". The well known Eaglecry, and one of Fern's previous failures, whose face was affected by the "gift" before she refused to possess anymore foxes.
