Obsequious Tower
Ancestral Home of The Order of Azhmar. Nestled between the foothills and the mountains of the northern region of the Shoan Province. Although the tower falls under the territorial empire of Artwin, the Azhmerian students, scholars, and wizards enjoy almost entire autonomy in their practices.
Purpose / Function
The tower itself is home to an unknown number of wizards and students of the natural arts and magic. Despite an acquired reputation for savagery, the Obsequious Tower has drawn curious and gifted minds. Students are admitted on basis of some trial that the acolytes and rejected are unable to discuss. Students that pass the test are permitted within the confines of the Tower; many of those who are not given entry still rarely leave the outer walls of the tower, choosing instead to remain and server some purpose in tangent to the Order of Azhmar.
Architecture
Carved from a single piece of solid black mineral not found anywhere in the nearby region. The tower itself stands at approximately 200 meters tall and is completely windowless, save the very top of the tower. Rather than coming to a point, or utilizing parapets at the top; the pinnacle of the tower resembles a gnarled tree stripped of all its leaves. Protruding from the edges of the top of the building are bizarre jutting pieces of stone that twist and turn in the sky.
Surrounding the tower is a formidable wall, 20m high made of the same material. This in turn encompasses a 300m courtyard in equidistant diameter to the tower.
