Blood Resort Vampires
Overview: How the vampires and mosquitos came to be, and the horrific abominations and insults that is the zombie apocalypse based off them.
True Vampires: The original vampires. They have mosquito parts and drink blood, converting it to a new form of blood in their bodies.
Feral Vampires: True Vampires that have been exposed to too much sunlight, have healed wrong, and more. The humans and animals they drained, their influences come out, morphing the feral both physically and mentally into a monster.
Vampire Human Hybrid: Humans used in an attempt to expand the vampire blood as a source for all humans. It first started as crude ' human refineries', turning all blood into vampire blood to be extracted.
Somewhere mosquitos got into the mix, and mutated by vampire blood, created vampiric zombies. These zombies are heavily malformed, possessing rudimentary intelligence but an overwhelming desire to feed
Possible names:
- Dhampir: Union between Human and Vampire
- Ghoul: Human monster that subsists on human flesh and dwells in cemeteries
Underwater Dystopia Connection: This Vampire blood could be a form of the wonder material, placeholder Embryon, magical juice. It takes on traits of who its been through, cycles through, and vampires seek a living far away from sunlight, and the aphotic zone never has any sunlight.
Vampire Overview
Overview: A world with vampires, but the humans are not totally oppressed. Rather, they give blood willingly. They come from the Blood Resort Area.
Blood Production: A sterile way to create human blood for vampiric consumption. It does not rely on bleeding humans captive for their blood, but rather science to create blood for vampiric consumption without requiring detainment and draining of human victims.
Blood Farms: Where humans, mostly comatose with little way out, can spend their days in a coma, induced or not, donating blood continually. It is heavily monitored, with even the blood bags harvested bearing the name of the donator.
Human relations: Most vampires have non-antagonistic views and relations with humans. Humans are as a whole mostly left do do their own thing. There are a few bad vampires who hunt down humans for simple reason of wanting fresh blood rather than blood produced or farmed.
Blood Bags: A common sight. A whole system dedicated to blood production and distribution. Might be a form of informal currency, but their is a set bank for it. Maybe even a currency based on blood.
Death by Exsanguination: The preferred method of execution of either vampires or humans. The major arteries are punctured and as much of the blood is collected as possible. They also allow this for humans who don't want to live anymore, and after signing some paperwork, will have the blood's worth in money given to their chosen beneficiaries.
True Vampires
Proper Vampires: Vampires that have not had massive sun exposure. Most of them stay in the Underground city, away from sunlight. However, they can prosper anywhere with plentiful blood.
Their fangs are mosquito and proboscis like.
Becoming a Vampire: One must drink the vampire blood to become a vampire. It cannot be transmitted through feedings.
Feral Vampires
Devolution of Vampires: Vampires that have for some reason lost their human form. They tend to lose this form by hunting animals too much, or feeding on their own blood. It is incurable but mostly preventable with regular blood consumption.
Sun exposure also has a negative effect. While not immediately bursting into flames, it is considerable stress on their systems which can cause devolution.
Vampire Devolution and Feralization comes from drawing too much from blood. They require fresh blood and minimal damage. As they are damaged, they draw from their Vampire Blood to heal, however, with excessive stress, they take on the characteristics of the blood's source, such as the animals or people, and as the blood supply runs low, the worse and worse it gets.
Mosquito Human Hybrids Vampires: Vampires that sort of devolved into mosquito man hybrids. They have weak flight but a powerful proboscis to literally drain their victims dry.
Man Bat human hybrid: Half-man, half bat, though more bat than man. They fly with their arms turned into large, leathery wings to rush around and fly, yelling to map out their surroundings.
Chupacabra: A classic monster that preys mostly on livestock. It has grown a distinctive puncturing setup. It is highly animalistic, partially melding with whatever livestock and anything it can eat.
Vampire Zombies
Vampire Human Hybrids: Humans not really turned into vampires but injected and integrated with vampire blood and organs. Some of them have extra hearts with them. These experiments mainly led to bloodthirsty monsters, being vampires essentially always starving and looking for blood to feast on, mainly. The mosquitos created also learned how to parasitize and control humans. What fun.
Mosquito Parasite Zombies: Vampire human hybrids gone poorly. The Mosquitos inhabiting them control them at a base level, and most of what they can think about is feeding.
Zombie Weaknesses: As mosquitos control the zombie, anything that works against mosquitos does well against them too. They are weak to cryogenics, bleeding, and coagulating poisons.
Vampire Blood Steroid: A blood-based steroid used by bodybuilders. When they were infected, either through constant use, or being infected by the parasitic mosquitos, their muscles grow massive, and so does their aggression. They tower over other zombies, moving slowly, but their attacks are powerful.
Zombie Types
Basic Zombie: The basic form of infected. They tend to lurk around mosquito hotspots, but they wander about, searching for new victims to bite.
Bloater: Final life cycle of a zombie. Its body is bloated with both blood, dirty water, and mosquito larvae. It is slow with overstretched skin, basically waiting to explode.
It sods around, body bloated due to massive water intake. They sometimes stay in one place, however. Given time to progress, mosquito hives begin to fester within them, threatening to spray out with cuts and bruises. Perhaps upon death, they burst open and release vampiric mosquitos.
Also, possibility that female Bloaters are called Hags.
Brawler (Also protector?): An exceptionally fit body. This zombie has been enhanced to have incredible levels of testosterone and other hardy hormones, resembling a large beast at peak strength. Many of them are bodybuilders or policemen.
Chaser: Zombies with increased agility. Somehow retaining their limberness, they chase after uninfected and those deemed enemies of the hive. While some run on just their legs, some later versions run on all fours, possibly a higher mutation.
Bleeder: The progenitors of this, or at least the first and most successful form of the infected. One of the first successful experiments. Equipped with a huge blood system and 2 arm needles, this enemy can quickly drain others, regaining any lost health quickly. One thing of these bleeders is constant bleeding.
They are the experiments of weaponizing the Blood Conversion, turning them into these monstrosities. They are fidgety, constantly needing blood. They have been equipped with blood tanks and large arm needles which feed their blood tanks. The blood tanks serve as a middle ground between fresh blood and the circulatory system.
The bleeders were used to convert fresh blood into vampire blood, becoming weak, anemic vampires that end up driven by a need to feed. There is little sentience in their eyes or blood anymore.
Siren/Screamer/Bat: A zombie partially mutated into a bat. Its arms have turned into leathery protowings like bats to attempt to fly around. It screams to alert other zombies of threats or new prey. Later ones even gain the ability to truly fly, scouring the skies and screaming at the sights of danger.
Regenerator/Slasher: An infected that has had its forearms morph into large blades. These blades also serve as bloodsucking appendages, able to absorb blood to heal itself, even healing itself if given enough time to simply regenerate.
Rager: A zombie that can eat other zombies and thus become bigger and stronger. These zombies have a control mechanism on them, likely heavy helmets, but if removed, they go into a blind rage, hitting both uninfected and infected alike.
Caster: A zombie with wing-like growths protruding from its back. It releases mosquitos to bolster its kin and weaken enemies.
Zombie Body types
Overview: The various bodies of zombies, AKA who they were before infection and what they may or may not drop.
This is mainly a mechanics and gameplay perspective.
Police officers / Security Personnel: Wear body armor to protect against body shots. Often the more physically robust zombies. Often drop security weapons, such as batons and pistols. Vary from normal patrol officers to riot officers. Military can fall under this category, wearing unique army camos and often carrying bigger weapons.
Paramedics / Doctors / Medical Personnel: They often are marked by healing symbols (Red Cross is copyrighted). They drop healing items like medkits or medkit components.
Tourists: They often carry cameras around their necks. They tend to drop electronics or lots of money.
Handymen/Mechanics: Also tend to be robust, they drop repair items and crafting components. The weaponry they often drop is tools like wrenches and hammers.
Tribals: Those that worshipped the mosquitos and continue to. By the time they have zombified, they wear leaves and headdresses, often decked with tattoos and body markings. They tend to drop plants and other foraged goods.
Escaped Prisoners: The prisoners who escaped and mostly started this mess. Often the higher infected forms and even leading lesser groups.
