Brainstorming Sunrise Mutants
Sunrise Mutants Overview: The various monsters created in the Sunrise wasteland, often through bio experimentation.
Tunnel Beasts: These creatures emerge from the underground, with hardened skin, sharp claws, and glowing eyes. They are incredibly sensitive to light.
Perhaps they are an unholy mix of monster and man, or perhaps animals that partially gained sentience.
Jelly Fish Slime Mutants: Mutated men who were exposed to a massive wave of energy, perhaps even a mutagenic bioweapon. They are vaguely human, but have lots of fish characteristics.
Claw Giant Lion Creatures: These creatures are large and often the apex predator of an area. While they are somewhat social, adult forms are often expelled from their home pack or fight for dominance. Some hunt in packs looking for an area to settle, some larger ones find existing packs to challenge their leaders to a fight, either ending in the death or the exile of the old pack leader in favor of the new one.
Plague Rat Worm: Could just be a worm beast, rat, or something else.
Bottom Line is they all originate from one area, being experimented upon, and have a plague only they can cure. They have a large broodmother and queen that must be destroyed in order to rid the land of their pestilence.
Creature Derived Products
Wasteland Monster Bandage: Using the webbing of a mutated spider and trilobite blood or meat, this creates a bandage that insulates and heals even grievous wounds.
Creatures
Former Humans
Former Human: Any one of the zombies or ghouls walking around. Sometimes in groups, sometimes alone. Mutated by spore exposure. Often unorganized and simply trying to survive, as little as they can.
Batfish/ Suhagin: A monster that is part man, part fish, and part bat. It has the large ears of a bat, along with sparse hair and a sonic screech ability of a bat. They are roughly humanoid, standing as tall if not taller than a man. They have fins and partial wings, able to glide through water near effortlessly.
They are former humans, bitten by other Batfish. They mutate slowly but surely, often clad in the tatters of their former selves.
Walking Tumors: Humans infected by the contagion that turned into massive walking slabs of meat, fat, and muscle. Covered in tumorous growths, the face often disappears and they are wide as they are tall, their limbs heavy and callused. These mutations often spur from overactive regeneration and unchecked growth.
Defensive Pack Mule: A mutant that has become a post apocalypse beast of burden, often doing labor and carrying large packs of various goods. However, it is far from defenseless, having decent weapons and a ranged attack of sorts, likely a toxic spitball.
It is comprised of two main parts, being a torso and lower body. Its torso is large and well muscled, however where its arms should be either has nothing or mostly nonfunctionally sized arms. Its lower body resembles a snake, though it 'walks' forward with arms, not having traditional leg legs. Its back is covered in at least one line of strong tumors, but the larger ones tend to have more and more tumors. Their backs are large and easily able to carry a pack. Their main attacks are either using its forked tongues as a slap and slice attack, or a long range acidic spit projectile.
Overdeveloped Embryo: What happens when an Ogre's parasite breaks free. They resemble fat worms with partially human characteristics. Half of them is a giant worm, especially their face and feeding.
Old Nutrient Paste Guys/Autotrophs: Eating a strange yet invigorating Nutrient paste, these men and women become exceptionally long-lived at the cost of their skin turning bright pink or other similar hues. This paste grows in them, eventually making them completely self sufficient and a form of autotroph.
Called Pinkies by most for their pink skin coloration, they are essentially overinfested with mushrooms and plants, somehow able to absorb some nutrients from a form of photosynthesis. Besides clawing and biting, Pinkies vomit upon enemies, the worst of their pink paste and whatever they've shoved into their mouth recently.
Killing one yields some Pink Paste, not that many are in any way willing to eat it, but often a large variety of junk items and a few random plants and animals they managed to catch and eat.

Robots
Robot Overview: Robots and cyborgs in the wasteland, often lacking severe maintenance. Often they have charging stations which recharge their large robot batteries and offer easy software maintenance.
Scorpion Bot: A heavy robot designed for armored combat. Its 6 legs are heavy duty and shielded, and can partially unfurl to give soldiers some much needed cover. It has arms which accept heavy weaponry, such as missile launchers, machine guns, or heavy lasers.
Cyberdog: Dogs enhanced by cybernetic implants. Some are just partially enhanced, but the ones that last often were full-body conversions. Generally, they can outrun most humans on foot and even keep up with vehicles. Police Cyberdogs tend to have nonlethal shock lasers and are designed to be lighter and faster. Some dogs potentially have stealth technology integrated into them.
Housework Bot: This robot is more user friendly and easy to maintain, even maintaining itself. It finds itself employed in households as a simple robot caretaker.
Business Bot: This robot is often employed by businesses for routine labor, though also finds itself on security when the larger and more powerful Scorpion Bot is too big or too expensive for the job.
