Sunrise Power Armor

Brainstorming Power Armor

Realism Focus: These aren't meant to be invincible sets of armor. The only war use they see is urban combat.   One Set In A Sanctuary: A Sanctuary, Bunker system, or simply just a place with people that managed to scavenge a set of power armor, minus the power core. The only nearby power core is the one powering the place, and backup power would only last a few days.   Man Power Company: A play on the word manpower, this corporation made most if not all the Power Armor in the world.

General Bits

General Overview: This is the various parts of a power armor.   Life Vest Assist Torso: The main bit of the Power Armor, developed first as a way to help keep people cool.   Power Core: What powers the set of armor. Its a heavy duty battery or some other power chip.   Sprayer: A heavy duty chemical sprayer originally used to spray cryogenic compounds in burning buildings. However, this is easily modified into a flamethrower or other chemical thrower.   Weapon Harness: Allows for easy switching of weaponry, often having an autoloader of sorts and a generous ammo backpack. While the Harness Enabled Combat Armor has the components woefully exposed and lightly armored, the components here are integrated into the armor already.   Jump Pack: It cannot carry much fuel for long, but it lets an armored soldier rocket into the sky and smash down into enemy positions. While it has the advantage of higher than normal mobility, the setup and fuel takes up all the space a normal heavy weapons system would, meaning the soldier either has their bare power armored fists or comparatively small arms to use.   .   .

Sets of Power Armor

Power Armor Overview: Armor that is powered, often focused on a frame. One of the earliest sets of power armor were heavily modified bomb suits, but have been expanded into urban warfare mech suits and space suits.   There are urban combat suits, firefighting suits with cryotech and strength to break through things and endure flames, suits for mining or other hazardous work, construction suits designed to hold up things and also protect workers. Some also have become deep diving suits.   One of the main things developed in the main 'torso' of power armor is a life-support system, meant to keep the operator cool and fairly good minute-to-minute health.   Construction Power Suit: A fairly barebones set of Power Armor, but its augments a wearer's strength to ease movement of heavy machinery, parts, and large amounts of construction material. It has warning lights and sometimes simple plates of armor to increase the wearer's chance of survival.   Firefighter Armor: This set of armor is designed for breaking into burning buildings, searching through rubble, and firefighting. Often has great cryotech to easily fight fires. It also can hold up walls and carry people to relative safety.   Bomb Suit: An early set of what would become power armor. It was a bomb suit, designed for close range explosive disarming. It is rather bare bones in comparison to later models of power armor. The main power armor component it debuted was a life support system, which kept operators cool and lucid even with the heavy armor and stressful conditions.   The Trainwreckers would have at least one Bomb Suit, owing to their expertise and usage of explosives.   (Power) Hard-shell Astronaut Power Armor: Power Armor designed for outer space. Totally enclosed and heavily radiation resistant. While not as strong against bullets, energy weapons tend to bounce right off. The armor plates can also be used as heavy combat armor, providing excellent radiation and energy protection. Odds and Ends: Various armor pieces that add to clothing or armor. Bandoliers for ammo storage. Gloves for hand protection. Backpacks and satchels to increase carrying capacity. Random bits of armor to increase protection.     (Medium) Under Armor Armor: A bodysuit used to interface much better with Power Armor. It sort of is protective on its own.   (Heavy) Stripped Down Power Armor: Armor stripped down and simplified. It isn't as maneuverable or comfortable, but men can easily step in and step out of it. It is Power Armor that has been scavenged or scuttled still finding some use.

Other Armors

Mad Armor: A set of armor cobbled together and covered in horrible scarring. It is supernaturally powered, representing the worst parts of war, yet also the resourcefulness of war. It has a clawed gauntlet and a monstrous, mismatched appearance.   Stealth Suit: A full suit of form fitting armor that when active, renders the user practically invisible. Uses holographic technology to power a light-deflection field which makes viewing difficult, but can be subverted with either a power drain or a form of stealth viewing glasses that can see through the disguise. It also makes a light shimmering, but is far less visible in general.   Raider Armor: Power armor made from whatever can be scavenged, not in a factory. Always built off of existing power armor to be restored to function. Only the strongest raiders have some.

Power Armor Faction

Power Armor Faction: A faction with a ton of power armor sets and they zealously tend to them. Each suit is a work of art and they are willing to train anyone and everyone to use one. Their consumption of power and spare parts gives them a nasty hunger.   The Faction is descended from rescue workers, wearing some firefighting gear, such as their coats or helmets, to denote rank.   Their armor is all painted dark colors as a symbol of uniformity, and they paint robots the same way. They often have patrols looking for technology, though they may stop to help a traveller or settlement.   Ranks may include Paladin, Defender, Protector, Star Defender, Star Paladin, other things.   Could be named something Knights.
