Halaster's Dungeon - Lore
Beneath Detroit there is a vast maze of caverns and halls, and the master and architect is a being called Halaster Blackcloak.
Some have said Halaster is a mage so powerful he has kept death away for centuries. Some have said Halaster is a Celestial or possibly an outcast from Heaven. Most have said Halaster is insane, having been destroyed or destroying himself many times, only to be resurrected by the dungeon he has built. The dungeon cannot exist without him and he cannot exist without the dungeon. Each time he returns, less of his sanity remains.
