Hobgoblin Legions

In the southern end of Virendas - continent, Hobgoblins have formed a society where the basic unit is the Legion. These legions have formed a loose confederacy called the The League of Suring.

Hobgoblins of both genders are trained in the craft of warfare.

A legion is organized into sub-units called banners, each one made of a group of interrelated families. Members of a banner live, work, and fight as a unit. The status of the banner is reflected by the status of it's highest officers.

The Dieties of the League of Suring are the main dieties worshiped in the League.

Major language groups and dialects

Ghukliak is the language of the Hobgoblins, though they are very fluent in Common.

Shared customary codes and values

Within the Legions, Hobgoblins are warriors. Other tasks and trades are performed by slaves, usually human. Hobgoblin society is focused on wartime readiness and action, so little regard is given for any non-martial activities.

Agriculture, mining, and other industries are organized on large scales. Plantations may have hundreds of slaves guarded by dozens of Legion soldiers.
