Khonos is the deity Dwarves revere as the goddess of the light and heat needed for metal work.
Every Dwarven smith offers a prayer to Khonos when lighting up the forge or smelter to ensure the proper light and heat for making good work. Khonos provides the heat of the fire and makes the metal glow so the smith can tell the proper temperature has been reached.
