The Bronze Gate

The Bronze Gate is the informal name for The Chartered Arcane Order of the Bronze Gate. The Order was originally organized in 260 to recognize individuals who had distinguished themselves during the conflicts with the Blightguard Gnolls in the previous decade. It was also meant to point out that Halaster Blackcloak did not provide any assistance to the settlement.

The Bronze Gate function like a guild, setting rules for the teaching, use, and application of the arcane arts within Republic territory.

Culture

Guild members are expected to cooperate and share knowledge with each other. Competition between guild members is discouraged.
Guild members are expected to collect and preserve arcane knowledge.
Guild members are expected to act in ways beneficial to the Guild and citizens of the Republic.
Guild members are expected to assist officers of the Republic in arcane matters, and to establish rules and protocols for the proper /beneficial uses of magic.
Guild members are expected to be vigilant and guard the Republic against unlawful, or hostile arcane threats.

Public Agenda

The Guild wants to have a good reputation as trustworthy, loyal to the Republic, and beneficial to the Republic.
The Guild is fairly aggressive in creating a public image of wizards as dedicated, hard-working craftsman.

Witches don't sink faster than anyone else.
