The DPS

The DPS - Detroit Public Safety are the police force inside the city. The DPS officers patrol the city, looking to prevent crime. They are a common sight in the old-town districts of Capital Park, Midtown, Bricktown, and Broadway Avenue. The northern districts of Highland Park, Warrendale, Cass Park and Springwells see more DPS patrols than the southern side of the river.

The DPS is also charged to solve crimes and recover stolen property, though their effectiveness is limited due to being understaffed.

There are rumors of DPS officers in the pay of criminal organizations, and clearly the wealthy recieve better treatment and attention from the DPS.
