Writing Enchanted Scrolls

An enchanted scroll will cast the spell inscribed once read. Reading an enchanted scroll is an action on a creature's turn.

The requirements to create an enchanted scroll are:
1. Proficiency in the Arcana skill.
2. The material components for the spell must be provided.
3. The scribe must have the spell prepared and it must be among the scribes' known spells.
4. Money is required for the special inks and time is needed to prepare the inks and paper to accept the spell. See the table below.
5. The scribe needs a workplace, which will not be disturbed during the process.

An enchanted scroll always casts the spell at the lowest possible level. Cantrip scrolls are cast as if from a 1st level caster regardless of the level of scribe. A Fireball scroll is cast at 8d6 fire damage even if the scribe had the ability to upcast the spell.

Spell level Time to create Material Costs
Cantrip 1 day 45 gp
1st 1 day 45 gp
2nd 3 days 150 gp
3rd 5 days 225 gp
4th 10 days 1,500 gp
5th 15 days 2,250 gp
6th 40 days 15,000 gp
